Good time management and prioritizing skills

Scheduled sharing with Store Leadership Team, responsibilities for opening and closing the store

Post-secondary education in industry related field is an asset

5+ years of experience in a grocery/retail environment

Provide great customer service by ensuring the store shelves are stocked and by responding to customer needs

Maintain and stock product displays and shelves that meet company standards

Ensure accurate product scanning and identify inventory needs and assist with ordering

Setup company-directed promotions and programs

Keep department areas neat and ensure health and safety standards

A team player with an attention for detail

Supervise produce personnel in the absence of the Produce Manager

Above average oral and written communication skills

Minimum of 12 months of experience

Manage merchandise returns, follow up on missing equipment and prepare various reports for the sales and accounting departments

Previous retail management experience, preferably in a departmental or specialty store setting

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service

Communicate regularly with store management and other department managers to ensure store-wide goals are being met

Train and develop department associates in customer service, product knowledge, and merchandising

Manage departmental expenses and assist in budget preparation

Previous retail management experience, preferably in a departmental or specialty store setting

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Assist the Department Manager with ordering, merchandizing, and customer service.

Assist the Department Manager with staff training.

Oversee in-store inventory control including routine counts, stock rotation, new product selection and manager specials to reduce overstock.

Provide excellent customer service by advising customers on selections and ensuring that customers get the products they need.

Build attractive and creative displays to highlight current promotional products, high-volume, and high-margin products.

Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.

Demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.

Strong experience and knowledge in lean manufacturing systems (ABS), Production Control and Quality Systems.

Working knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes.

Effectively manage employee and labor relations issues including contract administration, grievance handling, and day-to-day employee complaints/issues.

Minimum 5 years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing/product environment.

Knowledge of principles and application of lean manufacturing and Quality Systems and production planning.

Highly developed oral (influencing) and written communication skills.
