Process Simulation Software Developer Jobs

Continually push technology to develop software testing capabilities

3+ years of experience in automotive simulation or firmware development

Must have experience with the following: Linux, SafeRTOS/FreeRTOS, Multi-threading, CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, Pytest, SCons

Knowledgeable with Ethernet Network Stack, inter process communication, UDE, NVM, UDS, SPI, I2C, IOCBI, HSM

Develop and compile automotive embedded firmware to run on Linux

Offload tests from HW test environment to virtual environments

• Experience in selection of safety devices and process safety management activities

• Previous work experience in sanitary piping & process systems would be a plus

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering

• Work as an onsite Process Engineer in a process plant environment

• Deliver designs and Engineering packages related to process engineering for industrial plants.

• Coordinate with customer to collect all the required inputs to complete the engineering design.

Professional knowledge in large system modeling, electrical system design, CPU real-time operating system design, FPGA IP design, HDL programming, etc.

Background in power system EMT simulation and have a deep understanding of on-grid simulation requirements

Proven experience with new technology development initiatives and innovation

Ensure the effective implementation and execution of technical plans

Real-time simulation core software (such as CPU tool chain, FPGA tool chain, and real-time simulation bottom-layer software) planning and design capability

Excellent oral and verbal communication in English

Use your knowledge of mathematics & algorithms to develop and enhance Vention’s browser-based simulation engine

Collaborate with stakeholders, including the team lead, product manager, UX/UI designer, senior executives, and QA

At least 3 years of software development experience

Experience with Javascript (Python and C++ are also an asset)

Experience with computational geometry and numerical methods

Experience with developing simulation solutions or working with simulation engines

Assisting in gathering and interpreting business requirements to articulate business needs and informing software development

Significant engineering experience in C++, C#, Unity 3D, preferably using Microsoft technologies

Significant experience in collaborative software development including the use of Git, Jira, and Confluence or similar tools

Experience developing digital learning simulations, with a strong preference for 3D/VR simulations

Agile Software Development (SCRUM based) experience including short sprint cycle

Past experience working at the VARLab is strongly preferred

Experience in software development involving process simulation (distillation, numerical solvers, compression units, reactors, etc.)

Experience in the use of a process simulator is preferred

Experience in Python and C++ highly desirable

Degree on Chemical Engineering is preferred

Background in data science or machine learning is a plus

Ability to work on all aspects of the lifecycle of a product, including design, implementation, and testing
