Process Engineer – Operations Support Jobs

Excellent people management skills: ability to develop effective internal and external relations.

They are also responsible for leading the GTA HSMS and management of the GTA operational safety and training specialists.

Works closely with the Supply Chain and Distribution Staff to ensure efficient management of production costs & inventories.

A minimum of five years Supervisory/Managerial experience working in a similar environment

The incumbent must promote and support daily, weekly and monthly communication process to drive group efficiencies and manage production performance.

Proven track record of project management capabilities;

Engineering/Technical background in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial engineering (other relevant education and experiences will be considered);

2 to 5 years practical experience in plastics extrusion industry with knowledge of the following areas:

Proven track record of continuous improvement accomplishments (Lean Six Sigma certification will be considered an asset);

Excellent communication skills in formal and informal contexts;

Collaborate with personnel on troubleshooting, problem solving and improvement projects related to the extrusion process and associated sub-processes;

• Prior experience in operations management or process optimization is highly desirable

• Assess the impact of operational changes on tenants’ experience and make necessary adjustments

• Leverage critical experience in handling similar operations to drive improvements

• Although not mandatory, knowledge of telecom operations is beneficial

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Implement Production changes to cloud platforms and applications following established change management policies.

Work with the Enterprise Architecture team on identifying requirements and design and continuous evolution of Cloud-based solutions (e.g., Kubernetes).

Minimum 10 years Operational Support experience culminating in a senior role in a real-time client-facing environment.

Experience supporting Cloud Operations (GCP preferred) in real-time Production Environments running business-critical workloads.

Experience writing scripts and code to automate processes.

Experience working with and administering Linux operating systems.

Lead unit alarm reviews and supports alarm management activities

Lead management of change to ensure robust Process Safety Management for changes to be implemented

Minimum three (3) years relevant experience in a similar role

Perform proactive technical monitoring for the assigned process unit and ensure units operate within established limits

Provide process engineering support for operating problems and seek additional engineering support where appropriate

Identify and communicate to the technical, production and maintenance communities’ threats, troubleshoot performance and reliability gaps, and identify opportunities for improvement

Create an internal Bill of Materials based on customer drawings, approved components, and customer requirements.

University degree or equivalent in electronics or previous electrical work experience

At least 1 year of previous manufacturing experience either on the production floor or front office

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Processing revision changes and associated documents due to engineering change orders

Enter customer orders based on purchase orders, ensuring accuracy.
