Grade 12 education or equivalent secondary school education as established by the Ontario Ministry of Education;
5 years experience diagnosing and repairing problems on heavy vehicles and equipment;
5 years experience diagnosing and repairing problems on air and hydraulic systems;
Demonstrated customer service skills including ability to provide technical guidance;
Demonstrated communications skills, both written and verbal;
Experience with emergency vehicles, apparatus and equipment is an asset;

Possess a National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001 Firefighter I & II certification (proof of Pro Board or IFSAC required)
Possess a valid and current Standard First Aid and CPR "C" certification
Effective English communication skills and ability to communicate clearly and precisely in multiple situations
