Postgraduate Medical Education Program Coordinator Jobs

Identifying shortcomings, suggesting improvements and implementing approved revisions to current compliance processes, systems and procedures for the program management function;

Ensuring effective financial management with regular monitoring and management of the reconciliation process;

Managing the development and/or operation of aspects of the internal and external communications system with some guidance from senior leadership;

Planning, implementing and measuring accountability frameworks to ensure standards are met in line with the Act(s) and negotiated agreements;

Developing and/or delivering budget plans with guidance from senior leadership and delivering prescribed outcomes for designated areas of financial control;

Mentoring, coaching, and monitoring a team of professionals to facilitate program objectives;

Manages the fellow’s training portfolios and evaluations; provides administration of the fellowship research and educational fund at BC’s Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Establishes team share sites within the Department to centralize critical information on administration, finance, human resources, facilities, education and projects.

Ensures consistent document management processes, ensuring Terms of Reference, operating policies and procedures are maintained and updated as needed.

Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing one’s own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion

Liaison with the program manager when the clinical faculty are not in the TTP database for updating

Provides coverage for the Residency Program manager and the Residency Program Assistant as necessary;

Supervise other education policy researchers, consultants and program officers

Administer education policies and programs

Conduct statistical analyses to determine cost and effectiveness of education policies and programs

Prepare research papers, educational texts or articles

Evaluate curriculum programs and recommend improvements

Develop the structure, content and objectives of new programs

Experience with online learning management systems (Moodle, D2L, etc) an asset

Education requirements: Medical Lab Technician or Medical Lab Assistant

Work experience requirements: 3+ years of work experience as an MLT or MLA

Sound knowledge in computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)

Encouraging graduates to recognize the need for continuing education and professional affiliation

Respond to student concerns and escalate to the Manager of Operations when needed

Establishes timelines and processes for the resident assessment and record management. Ensures all deadlines for the various processes are met.

Responsible for the Site Director, preceptors, and residents TRes account creation and management.

Updates the Resident Management System to ensure remediation/probation information is accurate and current.

Provides overall administrative support for assessment and resident performance: develops and manages workflow.

Tracks appointment terms and compensation; works collaboratively with the Finance team to ensure accurate fiscal reporting

Manages rotation scheduling for each student in the clerkship

Identifies training requirements needed to support Program Coordinators in their professional and personal growth

Reports to UME Manager, Curriculum & Administration, to discuss strategic direction of Program Coordinators and staffing

Works with the E-learning team in development of information technology requirements and implementation in supporting the UME Program

Oversees student progress during the MD Program and ensures curriculum requirements are met in order to be promoted to graduation
