Pipe Surveyor Jobs in British Columbia

Manage and perform various survey tasks as required;

Communicate effectively with Supervisors and Project Managers on a daily basis;

Perform other labour duties as required.Qualifications:

Successfully completed or working towards a certification in Geomatics;

Perform various staking methods of road and development construction including slope and grade stakes;

Perform topographic surveys of original ground and other surfaces;

Experience of a minimum of 3 years as a surveyor in civil works

Experience working in tunnels, structures and rail projects (not a must)

Experience with Trimble and AutoCAD software

Review scope of work with Superintendents and determine layout requirements.

Responsible for all elements of layout and elevation requirements and ongoing monitoring checks.

Excellent communication/interpersonal skills (verbal and written).

Able to set and maintain your own schedule to meet project requirements.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

- Review new projects to identify required survey layout and asbuilt requirements.

- Experience with Topcon survey equipment preferred.

- Coordinate and schedule with Superintendent/Supervisor on survey support.

- Maintain survey gear and perform calibrations when needed.

- Maintain survey as-built records and preform quantity volume calculations.

- Coordinate survey layout through use of CAD software.

Thorough knowledge of welding practices and techniques

Previous experience Pipe Fitting and Pipe Welding

Competitive wage ($43.00 - $45.00 / hour)

6 month contract with opportunity to move into a permanent role

Consistent day shift schedule (Monday - Friday from 5:00am - 1:30pm)
