Assists protocol implementation: data collection, data entry, documentation of process, integration, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring.

Provides operational research support, including administering questionnaires, data entry, scheduling tests and participant reimbursements.

Preparation of source documents, research materials, correspondence, reports, and newsletters, as applicable.

Prepares sample collection kits for study visits, centrifuges blood samples, aliquots plasma/ serum/urine and other simple laboratory processing tasks.

Manage user access to various software tools and web-based productivity applications.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for effectively conveying the lab's research activities and achievements.

Flexible work hours with a majority of remote and occasional in-person work at the Metacreation Lab or other locations

Leads project/initiative promotions, communications, advocacy, knowledge sharing, and dissemination.

Provides instruction and training in the use of specialized software for data analysis and knowledge translation.

Serves as the designated point-of-contact for project participants and partners.

Oversees design of data collection tools and collects data by facilitating focus groups, conducting interviews, and administering surveys.

Performs data preparation, collection, entry, and conducts complex analysis and interpretation using specialized software.

Provides reports regarding ongoing project operations, monitors the day-to-day progress of projects or project components and provides regular updates.

Two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and training is an asset

Possess a sound and in-depth understanding of each protocol’s lab requirements.

Perform timely, accurate electronic data entry, using the protocol-specific eCRF completion guidelines.

2 or more years experience with working in a certified lab environment

Review each laboratory manual for study related procedures.

Prepare and set up appropriate laboratory kit for each subject.

Understanding of project/program management techniques and methods

Create all knowledge sharing resources (translate/adapt to different formats)

Past experience as a Research Assistant

Knowledge of Gmail, Google Docs and Google Sheets

Personable with great interpersonal skills when working with others

Lead creative design ‘skills-sharing’ workshops with youth organizations

Track and report issues to the Research Manager and contribute to issue resolution

Design and implement a youth outreach strategy that facilitates stakeholder buy-in and participant recruitment

Contribute to status reports for the project sponsors and team

Conduct and/or support interviews and focus groups with youth, service providers and policy makers

Support development of academic manuscripts, community facing reports, and social media campaigns
