Previous experience in a Security role required

College/University certificate, previous security experience

Smart Serve certification required (updated if necessary)

Prevent, help manage, observe, detect, report:

Control entry and access to the plant and maintain accurate logs of those entering and leaving the plant

Report safety non-compliances and all incidents to specified Nestle representative

Aid in incident mitigation and investigations when required

Aid in emergency responses and first aid measures when required

Aid in Nestle Health and Safety programs/procedures when required

Experience or training in providing security services in a customer service oriented manner.

Experience providing facility security including the use of security systems and key systems.

Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act.

Possess interpersonal and customer service skills, including conflict resolution, problem solving, decision-making and situational assessment.

Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond to staff and public in a courteous and effective manner.

Demonstrated experience working with a computer and the ability to utilize a variety of software is an asset.

Have Security experience in a commercial tower, retail, hospital, College, hospitality or public building setting

Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and listening

Valid Ontario Security Guard License and CPR

Demonstrated ability to prepare professional security reports

Maintain high visibility, high vigilance, and a professional demeanor in the environment

Prepare informative, detailed, accurate, and grammatically correct reports

Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate

Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager

Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education in Security, Police foundations, or equivalent is an asset.

Experience in Security field is an asset.

Must be able to demonstrate strong customer service skills

Schedule: Monday to Friday 1500 hrs to 1900 hrs

Be at least 20 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
