Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.

Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.

Marks materials with identifying information.

Opens bales, crates, and other containers.

Experience using an RF scanner is an asset

Reach truck certification also an asset, not required.

Comfortable lifting products up to 20 lbs each.

Set up (organize) the pick i.e., where to start and stop the pallet

Select stock according to store order sheet (picking and packing instructions) or through RF picking equipment

Accurately record quantities selected (or shorted) maintaining an error rate of no more than 3-5 errors per 1000

Previous experience in a recycling facility or a similar environment is preferred

Inspect and sort metal materials, such as aluminium, copper, steel, and alloys, according to established guidelines and specifications

Separate different types of metals into designated bins or areas, following proper sorting procedures and ensuring compliance with recycling standards

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sorting stations, bins, and surrounding areas, to facilitate efficient sorting operations

Coordinate and communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues or concerns

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent general computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

$24.76 per hour depending on the experience and qualifications

Accept other responsibilities as required to support the company’s business needs.

Excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude, with good interpersonal skills.

Superb customer service skills and strong organizational skills.

Experience working in a kitchen is an asset

Clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots or pans and utensils

Restocking cleaned dishes and utensils

Ensure dishes are cleaned and stored in a timely fashion

Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas

Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and dish area

Prior experience operating a Cherry Picker forklift

External certification for a Cherry Picker forklift

8 AM - 4:30 PM, Mondays- Friday

Ability to work in a clean and highly maintained work environment

Access to the location via public transit if needed, parking also available
