Operations Asset Analyst Jobs

Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in the investment management, actuarial or insurance industries;

Previous experience in financial engineering and structuring of investment management solutions for institutional investors;

Manage the collateral management and reporting component of an assigned portfolio of Asset Based Lending (ABL) accounts.

Ensure daily monitoring of client loan positions, identifying trends and notifying Portfolio Management of any deterioration.

Identify and be alert for revenue opportunities that can be taken to Portfolio Management for consideration.

Assist Portfolio Management and Associates with adhoc requests as needed.

Submit and approve administrative electronic transaction requests and monitor receipt of reporting requirements for ABL and non-ABL borrowing clients.

Monitor client’s compliance to the terms and conditions of loan and other agreements, ensuring client is operating within ABL requirements.

Relevant university degree (such as Business, Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent relevant experience with Investment Finance processes

Good background skills and knowledge of accounting and reconciliation processes

Under the guidance of team members, carries out daily work within the Investment Finance “units”:

Maintains personal awareness and current knowledge of issues affecting the Board's operations

Excellent analytical skills and the ability to think through problems, assess a variety of factors and recommend a solution

Excellent quantitative and computer skills (Excel and Access), including an understanding of database concepts

Strong time management skills, particularly the ability to prioritize a multitude of tasks.

Research for model portfolio structures, asset mix, risk management, liquidity risk and responsible investing (ESG-Environmental, Social, Governance).

Assist Portfolio Managers across all investment teams with cash management, mutual fund, equity, fixed income, option, and forex trading.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills, and financial industry systems and tools. Experience with Bloomberg is an asset.

Assisting the firm in meeting its compliance requirements.

CFA or CIM designation with a minimum of 4 years of related work experience.

University degree or college diploma in Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience

3-5 years’ experience in an industrial shop maintenance, or operational environment in a data management intensive role

Strong background in asset management and knowledge of asset management principles is considered an asset

Supports department in development of Asset Management Plans as well as budgeting and other financial analyses

Other duties as assigned by department as it relates to Asset Management

Excellent financial literacy, knowledge of capital planning, and business case requirements

3+ years of experience within the Wealth Management, platform, banking or other relevant industry.

Supports manager in reviewing work and production of MI to demonstrate effectiveness of controls within team.

Supports the BAU function with deliverables as and when required, ensure knowledge of process is maintained by performing BAU tasks regularly

Able to demonstrate knowledge of US and Canada regulations.

Excellent and proven conflict resolution skills.

Must have proven interpersonal, communication, and personnel management skills.

Assists in the implementation, maintenance, and utilization of the computerized Infrastructure Management System (IMS), Geographic Information System (GIS) and maintenance management;

Must have proven knowledge of Civil Engineering and municipal infrastructure concepts.

Must have proven knowledge of budget concepts, cost accounting, and cost analysis.

Must have excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Should have knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, its regulations and knowledge of the hazards associated with the work.
