1 to 3 years proven experience as a Lube/Tire Apprentice Technician

Post Secondary School diploma, or equivalent experience

Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of stamping and robotic equipment and PLC's

Willing to work at elevated heights and obtain aerial lift certification.

Install, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, machinery, and electrical systems.

Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment.

Set up and operate machine tools to repair and fabricate machine parts, jigs, and fixtures.

Perform other duties as required.

Must possess construction and industrial electrical experience.

Must be local to the Calgary area

Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.

Tests electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.

Fabricates, installs and/or runs conduit, 3-Phase work, motor terminations, control and instrument troubleshooting and panel work.

Must be a registered Electrical Apprentice

Ensure compliance of the Design Change Management Plan, RFI and Site Instructions processes.

Manage designers' performance in accordance with plans, by controlling the progress and costs.

Plan, direct and coordinate on-site electrical activities to comply with specifications, requirements and codes.

PEng. or Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) certification, or eligible.

3-5 years of relevant experience in construction on large infrastructure types of projects.

Experience in electrical design coordination.

Installing fire alarms, security, lighting controls, data/telecom and energy management systems

Unionized wages & benefits with the IBEW

Installing conduits using a hand, mechanical or hydraulic bender

Install new wire in existing systems or repair old wiring

Mounting panel boards, transformers, switchgear, transfer switches and other types of equipment

Rough in and finish wiring control systems

Must possess solar or wind turbineexperience.

Must be reliable and dependable (i.e.: punctual and ready to work).

Participate in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in electrical installation and design.

Gain hands-on experience in different types of electrical systems, including residential, commercial, and industrial.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Ability to work well in a team and take direction from experienced electricians.

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
