CQI and Customer Specific Requirements

A university degree or college diploma in metallurgy, material science (ferrous/nonferrous materials) or equivalent experience.

Experience working with metallurgical laboratory equipment.

Minimum 5 years of gold milling experience

Study and project management experience in the metallurgical and processing field.

Design, implement, and assist in site process optimization initiatives. Providing broad metallurgical and process advice and support to Lundin’s operational management.

Significant exposure to base metals crush, grind, float processes with, preferably, experience with treating complex polymetallic sulphide mineralization.

Participate in the study, evaluation, specification, design, construction, commissioning and operation of mill projects and expansions, as required.

Lead the peer review and auditing of existing metallurgical and processing activities and systems as well as major capital project applications.

Assist in metallurgical and process focused due diligence and evaluation of exploration, joint venture, merger or acquisition growth initiatives.

Education in B.Eng in materials engineering and/or materials science

Set and own Downstream engineering standards

Responsibilities in this regard include

·Knowledge of fundamentals of mechanical/metallurgical testing and related standards like ASTM A370

·Demonstrated strong communication skills, high-level of motivation, and ability to work independently or as a team member

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Conducting testing and analysis of all products as required, including:

Tensile testing, Hardness testing (Vickers/Rockwell), Charpy Impact testing and Lateral Expansion measurement, and Guided Bend testing

Manage maintenance requirements for laboratory and furnace equipment

Evaluates training opportunities to determine its relevance, educational opportunities as to their benefit to Standard Machine.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preference for experience with gears, gear boxes, and pinions

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including conflict resolution

Proven ability to lead projects and teams, demonstrating strong organization and communication skills
