Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or engineering preferred. Technical training or related experience will also be considered.

Assess the impact(s) of design changes and schedule slippages and inform company management and clients of all schedule updates.

Track the contract document requirements for schedule adherence, as well as change orders and contract amendments

Assist in bid schedule creation per client requirements

5+ years’ construction scheduling experience, including three years of proven leadership experience directing scheduling functions

Develop schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations and available manpower and resources.

Assisting in the improvement of the management of changes procedures;

Must be experienced with Primavera P6 to an advance level and still be hands on / practicing the skill

Must master the earned Value Management guiding principles

Understanding management of changes implications

Manage internal and external client expectations and coach other team members in effective negotiation.

Provide technical support and work collaboratively with Project Managers to ensure that the project schedule scenarios (what-if) are developed to satisfaction;

Sufficient knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques (PMI-SP or AACE PSP certification preferred)

Confer with Project Managers and other teams to review scope, identify interfaces, KPIs, set project targets and complete execution plans

Develop project schedules using known industry software to meet project requirements (Primavera P6, MS Project and/or TILOS)

Post-Secondary education or University Engineering Degree (PEO or OIQ registration preferred)

Advanced skills with Primavera P6, MS Project and TILOS (preferred)

Diploma or university Degree in an engineering, construction, project management, or related trade discipline.

Experience in the electrical utility industry is an asset.

Previous experience interfacing with personnel involved in the engineering, procurement, contracting, execution, and commissioning phases or projects.

Ability to manage diverse projects and processes with conflicting deadlines.

Must be an advanced user of Primavera P6 software and Power BI (oracle primavera cloud experience is an asset).

Possess an aptitude for successfully building relationships with employees, internal stakeholders, vendors, and service providers.
