Manufacturing Technology Process Engineer Jobs in Nova Scotia

· Review customer design proposals, data and performance requirements for manufacturing feasibility.

· Minimum 5 years automotive experience

· Working knowledge of Product Design Process (GD&T, DFMEA, Datum Schemes, etc.)

· Working knowledge of Advanced Quality Planning and Problem Solving Tools (PFMEA, KT, 8D’s, etc.)

· Knowledge of ergonomics, manufacturing safety, environmental/ regulatory compliance

· Prior experience with some or all of the technologies listed below is preferred

Explore shop floor and identify needed process improvements in terms of cycle time reduction, labour utilization, ergonomic requirements and equipment uptime

Prepare proposals/estimates for new products including equipment, tooling cost requirements, and manufacturing resources

Support planning and implementation of projects through liaison between equipment/component suppliers and product design engineers regarding customer requirements and changes

Manage engineering projects to meet customer expectations, on time and within budget

Ensuring equipment meets requirements for Health and Safety according to CSA and OHSA

3-5 years’ experience in an manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)
