Are you currently a Walmart associate?

Post-secondary education or equivalent experience. Post-graduate education and/or authoritatively accredited designation(s) an asset.

A self-motivated leader with a high-reaching approach and a passion for category management

Sophisticated knowledge of financial forecasting, modelling and analytics required.

Work with various colleagues in merchandising, operations, control brands, supply chain, loyalty, e-commerce, marketing, media, and other divisions.

Build positive relationships with category vendors and external partners.

Use data and analytics to build short and long-term strategic plans; and identify critical merchandising priorities, risks, and opportunities.

Minimum 5 years’ retail management experience and/or previous purchasing experience; preferably in Food Service/Deli/Bakery;

Excellent interpersonal and management skills with strong attention to detail; and,

Must have a post-secondary education (degree, diploma, or certification) or an equivalent combination of education/training;

Strong analytical skills and financial analysis capabilities;

Develop a connection to Northern Canada through in-community work experience to create customer-centered business plans

Ability to set priorities and manage priorities of the team;

• Minimum 3 years management experience.

• Excellent people management and leadership abilities: scheduling, training, mentorship, accountability, succession planning.

• Demonstrated relationship management skills and the ability to build friendly rapport with co-workers, suppliers, and members.

• Education, experience, and training in food service operations.

• Experience utilizing point of sale (POS) software such as SMS and Ishida scales.

• Strong verbal and written communication and excellent listening skills.

Experience working a Deli counter or in food preparation

What Skills, Competencies and Experience Does the Deli Manager Possess?

Culinary Arts or business management degree preferred

Knowledge of production including product preparation, handling and sanitation procedures, Food Safe certification

Excellent organization skill and ability to multi-task and successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience working a Deli counter or in food preparation

Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus

Excellent customer service, communication, and math skills
