Experience with Six Sigma process improvement projects (Six Sigma certification is an asset)

5-10 years' experience in CNC machine tools manufacturing environment

Experience in Microsoft Office tools

Experience in CAD/CAM (SolidWorks, PDM, Esprit)

Has had previous fabrication experience with stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel? This is preferred but not necessary.

Is experienced with metal cutting equipment such as Lathes and Milling Machines?

CNC Programming – Gibbs Cam Software and G code knowledge are assets.

Working Knowledge of Tool Holders, Cutting Tools, Boring Bars, Fixtures, Inserts, and Other Machine Accessories and Components Including Precision Measuring Instruments.

Hand skills to fit and assemble Components and Machine Parts to Close Tolerances.

General Machining & CNC Machining - R&D, Repair, Custom and Production Parts/Systems

Read and interpret production drawings and specifications – to identify quality requirements

Understanding of weld processes, symbols and testing requirements

Technical Diploma or equivalent experience required;

Applicable trade certifications considered an asset;

5 years’ experience in quality control

Computer knowledge with a focus on Microsoft office products;

Able to work with Tool management systems with minimal supervision (TDM, PPG, EDGE Pro, CSI and other applicable software)

Work closely with GN Management team to achieve “The Manufacturing Solution” and leading GN to industry 4.0.

Responsible for delivering, storage, inspection, and qualification of quality inspection gauges (Kardex Tower)

Responsible for qualification, inspection, and disposition of durable and consumable tooling upon return

Experience in CAD/CAM systems (SolidWorks/Esprit)

Experience with Microsoft Office tools

Some secondary school education may be required.

Experience as a labourer in the same company may be required.

Inspectors may require related assembly experience.

Read production orders and diagrams

Trim and sand joints, molding, or other wooden parts to be assembled using hand and power tools

Assemble wood products such as window sashes, doors, boxes, pallets, ladders and barrels using glue, staples, screws, bolts or other fasteners

Reporting to management any problems, poor performance, or flaws in the final output.

Measure the products size, go at its functionality, and contrast it with the requirements.

2 years or more of experience operating an assembly line.

Good math and technical skills.

Building goods on an assembly line in accordance with schematics, plans, or instructions.

Make sure that operations function smoothly, adhere to approved safety and efficiency norms.

A two-year apprenticeship program and trade certification for electronics assemblers are available but voluntary in Saskatchewan.

Electronics inspectors and testers may require experience as an electronics assembler or component fabricator.

Assemble microcircuits requiring fine hand assembly, the use of microscopes and adherence to cleanroom procedures

Install, mount, fasten, align and adjust parts, components, wiring and harnesses to subassemblies and assemblies using hand and small power tools

Operate automatic and semi-automatic machines to position, solder and clean prescribed components on printed circuit boards

Set up process equipment and adhere to cleanroom procedures as required
