Must have an Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency;

Must have over one (1) year of Construction experience in inspection, surveying and construction material testing in a municipal environment;

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in underground sewer or utility location;

Completion of courses sponsored by the Ontario Ministry of Skills Development (Total Station Surveying, AutoCAD) will be considered an asset;

Moves products from receiving to appropriate sales floor locations.

Down-stocks products from overstock/mid-stock to sales floor locations.

Labels and organizes overstock/mid-stock as per company standards.

Maintains company merchandising standards, including current pricing, signage, plan-o-grams, promotional planners, ad set-ups and displays.

Properly secures company assets and physical inventory and follows all loss prevention and key control procedures.

Gather relevant data from various sources, such as asset management systems, GPS tracking tools, security logs, and operational databases.

Participate in cross-functional meetings and initiatives to share insights, coordinate efforts, and contribute to overall asset management strategy.

Solutions focused with proactive relationship building and influencing skills?

Develop (in partnership with the manager) and maintain comprehensive asset tracking systems to monitor the location, movement, and utilization of assets.

Evaluate existing asset security measures, including access controls, surveillance systems, and alarms, to identify potential vulnerabilities.

Collaborate with various teams, including operations, finance, procurement, and security, to understand their asset-related needs and provide analytical support.

Sound knowledge of Highway Traffic Act, Defensive Driving Skills, Health and Safety Practices;

Demonstrates experience in handling competing priorities, deadlines and applying sound interpersonal skills and excellent communication, complaint handling and problem resolution;

Demonstrated experience with relevant safety and WC legislation and requirements;

Assists Location Managers in accident investigation, analysis and determination of cause, WSIB claims, investigation, analysis and claims including modified duties program;

Minimum 5-8 years experience in a safety and training capacity preferred;

Prior experience as a school bus driver is preferred but not necessary;

Project Management experience is a plus.

3-5 years of experiene in certification.

Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the appropriate discipline.

Working knowledge of conformity standards in use in area of expertise.

What you’ll experience working at UL:

Communicates project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports. Prepares Follow-Up Service Procedures and information pages.

Ensure consumable materials comply with applicable requirements

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in testing of electric vehicles and/or energy storage systems

Experience in test method development and execution, instrumentation and data acquisition, and safety systems

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Experience with post-processing and analyzing large data sets using Python and/or MATLAB

Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Responsible for the management of wage labour during the course of the entire shift.

Responsible for any ordering, receiving or other task-based actions that need to be completed for that shift.
