Experience with provincial and Federal regulatory bodies, including the Province of Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia.

15+ years of legal experience working on a wide range of legal matters. Previous in-house counsel experience preferred.

Experience in the automobile industry is a plus.

Understanding and experience with provincial and Federal automotive legislation an asset.

Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.

Manage cash, banking and investment activities, and communicate with Finance for reporting purposes, in addition to managing corresponding governance processes.

Maintain the company’s Regulatory Compliance Management systems (including the Organizational Norm Database) together with the Corporate and Legal group.

Manage regularly occurring compliance initiatives (i.e. monthly/quarterly/annually) and ad hoc compliance projects.

University Degree (law, business or finance degree is an asset).

5 to 10 years of business experience in a legal, corporate or financial environment.

Experience with recruitment, mentoring and general law firm management.

Strong project management and time management skills with an ability to prioritize, plan and implement numerous projects, programs, and special events.

Demonstrated experience, knowledge of and commitment to implementing and advancing EDI best practices.

Experience and ability to prepare and manage a multi-year plan, set of priorities and budget.

Law degree with a minimum of 8 years of combined practice and professional development experience, with litigation experience an asset.

Relationship building and leadership skills with an ability to motivate others and work collaboratively.
