Establish a good working knowledge of all building carpentry schematics, drawings, and manuals within the complex.

Certified Carpenter Tradesperson with two (2) years related experience in construction or maintenance.

Employee Transit EPass through Halifax Transit

Attend training sessions to keep up with technological changes in carpentry, locks, signage, and buildings.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Ability to communicate effectively in a positive manner conveying and responding to information.

Proven experience in construction and carpentry, with a strong understanding of project specifications and material requirements.

Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project specifications and material requirements.

Skillfully cut, smooth, and shape lumber and other materials to meet project specifications.

Skilled in using hand tools, machines, and power tools to cut and shape materials.

Experience in building custom decks, installing railings, and constructing additions is highly desirable.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members.
