An asset, one year experience as a laundry attendant - On-site training

Provide professional and courteous service at all times;

Carries out the washing, drying and storage of bedding;

Uses cleaning products according to established standards;

Picks up laundry in trolleys and sorts according to established standards;

Folds towels, sheets, pillowcases, tablecloths, etc;

Grade 12/GED or equivalent work experience required

Knowledge of Infection Control procedures

Provide a supply of clean, sanitary linen for various hospital departments;

Collect soiled linen from various hospital departments;

Maintain the linen rooms in a clean, sanitary, safe and orderly manner in accordance with established procedures; and

Wash, dry, fold, sort, and label personal resident clothing.

Process laundry, including loading, operating and unloading washers and dryers.

Wash, fold, and iron soiled linens, towels, napkins and tablecloths.

Safely operate, clean, and maintain equipment as trained.

Stock shelves and maintain the cleanliness of the laundry facility.

Assist in monthly linen inventory and preparing and stocking housekeeping carts.

Maintain positive guest and associate relationships by responding appropriately to inquiries and concerns as quickly and completely as possible.
