Job Description

Are you an experienced laundry professional? If so, we have the position for you!


ProTemps ProTége is currently seeking a *well-seasoned* laundry professional who has experience in the uniform service industry to join our restoration client in NE Calgary.


PLEASE note this location is NOT transit accessible - RELIABLE transportation is a MUST.


Schedule: Full-time. Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour


The ideal candidate should have a strong stomach, and be able to complete the following:


Tasks:

  • Identify damaged or abused textiles and record them
  • Previous experience in a high production laundry is preferred!
  • Press items using handheld iron
  • Hand fold and bag: shirts, sheets and other articles for storage
  • Open bag of soiled textiles, then sort them by type, size and color
  • Count textiles manually or electronically and transfer them into sorting systems


Typical Physical Activity:

  • Standing
  • Stooping
  • Walking
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Pushing/pulling

Equipment and machinery experience:

  • Large Scale Dryer
  • Handheld commercial iron
  • Washing machine


Work conditions and physical capabilities:

  • Fast-paced environment
  • Physically demanding
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Attention to detail


Soiled linens come from a variety of customers, and may be subjected to fire, flood, hoarding, and other various situations.


English language and communication skills are required.


Only candidates that have Commercial Laundry EXPERIENCE and valid driver's license with reliable vehicle will be
