Experience in laundry operation is desirable but not mandatory. Must understand the basis of good laundry techniques/practices.

The Environmental Services Worker in Housekeeping will provide a clean environment in resident suites and common spaces within the Residence.

Grade 12 or equivalent. Must be able to read and write and follow oral instructions.

Must be committed to multi-disciplinary team work and demonstrate an ability to work through collaboration, joint decision making and integrated strategies.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to deal effectively with others.

Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Ability to operate related equipment.

Implement and maintain GM agenda for labour and total quality management KPI requirements

Minimum of 2 year’s supervisory or management experience in a similar setting is required

Responsible for waste management, recycling, facilities, and custodial services to meet client demands and specifications

Ownership and accountability of operational management and financial performance of the unit

Create value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls and profit management

Build revenue and manage budget that includes c:ost controls for labour, supply, and inventory

Previous experience in a high production laundry is preferred!
