Providing thought leadership on how the next generation of generative AI should think and write.

Creating training data sets for AI models that will help the models improve fluency, coherence, and voice.

Spearheading RLHF (reinforcement learning through human feedback) and fine-tuning training data sets for AI as needed.

Annotating data to help AI models align to human values.

National Interpreter Certification (NIC) or similar certification from a recognized interpreter certification program required

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups

Familiarity with disability laws and regulations, particularly those related to equal access and accommodations in higher education

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities

Follow ethical standards of the profession, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to the university or college's policies and procedures

Maintain accurate and timely records of interpreting services provided, including timesheets, invoices, and other necessary documentation

* Knowledge of medical terminologies is considered an asset

Direct experience in language programming to newcomers through either languageinstruction,assessment, and/or administration

Lead and attend meetings related to the Portfolio-Based Language Assessment (PBLA)implementation,providingguidanceandsupporttoPBLAtrainersandassessors,andfacilitatingdiscussionsonPBLA-relatedtopicstoensureeffectiveimplementationandongoing improvement

Identify different needs related to small centre and urban language training provision, aswellasregionallyspecific needs

Undertake all facets of meetings coordination, including facilitation, creating supportingmaterials,logistics,minutes,andreporting

Create resources and support the sharing of resources and relevant data with the languagesector

Coordinate the sharing of specialized expertise and support resource mobilization andnavigationwithinthesector
