Previous experience in clinical diagnostics in at least one of the following areas: molecular genetics, cytogenetics, or laboratory genetics and genomics.

Expected to maintain proficiency through participation in appropriate professional societies and continuing education programs.

Ph.D., Certified in molecular genetics and/or cytogenetics OR in genetic and genomic diagnostics/laboratory genetics and genomics from either:

Canadian College of Medical Geneticists (CCMG)

American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG)

Fellow of the Canadian College of Medical Geneticists and/or American Board of Medical Genetics for Molecular Genetics and/or Cytogenetics.

Carries out any other related duties as required in keeping with the qualifications and requirements of positions in this classification.

Extensive experience in basic molecular biology techniques such as RNA and Protein isolation, western blot analysis, qPCR, and ELISA.

Experience in histological preparation of frozen sections, immunostaining, and microscopy and imaging-based quantification.

Good communication skills – both verbal and written.

Coordinating clinical and translational projects

Liaising with current and new participating sites

Conducting data validation and analysis activities for several projects involving multiple large databases

Familiarity with database software such as REDCap and statistical methods

Writing reports and assisting with the preparation of manuscripts based on results from completed data analyses

Assisting with writing and submission of grant applications

Execute Pilot experiments (cell culture, harvest, purification) in an accurate way.

Ensure data capture is accurate and complete in line with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in rotating equipment lubricant oil and international specifications

Test all round-robin samples as per requirements and achieve results that meet set standards

Knowledge of international standards such as APHA, ASTM, API, NACE, and etc.

Inspect and test lube oil and grease samples to ensure they meet specified parameters according to defined test methods

Provide day-to-day technical support to operations and maintenance to troubleshoot rotating equipment-related issues

Develop, modify, verify, and validate test methods

Minimum 5 years experience working as a community organizer, patient partner, research study advisor, and/or non-profit sector worker

Minimum 2 years experience working as a qualitative researcher

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Development of the project outreach strategy

Interpretation and analysis of research data
