Junior Structural Designer Jobs in Alberta

1-4 years of related experience

Previous design experience, hands on construction experience and/or work with existing facilities is considered an asset

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and deliverables on an ongoing basis

Working knowledge of construction materials and products used in building construction, with a focus on concrete, steel, and wood

Must have a working knowledge and ability to use programs such as SAP, Bluebeam, woodworks, and various Office programs

Industry experience is considered an asset.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and deliverables on an ongoing basis.

A hybrid work in the office/work from home model.

Responsible for the designing and detailing of structural elements including calculations, computer modelling, and analysis.

Production of engineering drawings and contract documents in collaboration with our BIM technologists and other members of the engineering team.

Working knowledge and experience with MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, SharePoint, etc.)

Review and adapt our designs based on changes to fabrication facility capabilities

Actively support continuous improvement and product improvement initiatives through interactions with local and remote team members

0-5 years experience in a similar role

Previous experience using 3D Modeling and drafting software to produce manufacturing drawings

C.E.T. certification or registration as an EIT would be an asset
