Junior Mechanical Engineer Or Technologist Jobs in British Columbia

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills

Industrial Control System (PLC and/or HMI) programming experience.

Computer skills including networking, software installation, driver installation and support.

An understanding of power and control requirements for motors and instrumentation in differing industrial area classifications.

Should have minimum basic knowledge of PLCs

Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives operation and setup.

Project management experience, particularly in managing complex projects on batch plants.

Assist in the preparation of layouts and detail drawings in line with project requirements.

1-2 years of experience in Mechanical and Materials Handling design drafting.

Experience in 2D and 3D Mechanical design and plant layout.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Address design/schedule issues by maintaining an overview of activity, communicating with team members, and raising issues in a timely manner.

Able to successfully manage and deliver on multiple tasks with competing priorities.

2–6 years of mechanical experience (including internships).

Perform calculations such as process flow analysis, pump and equipment sizing, energy analysis.

Prepare technical drawings, P&ID’s, specifications, and reports.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Solidworks modelling and Solidworks Flow Simulation a plus.
