Junior Financial Anyalyst Jobs in Ontario

Two-year community or business college diploma in payroll administration, business or accounting or equivalent experience

2 years relevant work experience in a financial analyst role; preferably in a municipal setting

Knowledge of computerized information systems and municipal accounting related software (Microsoft Office Suite, Great Plains)

Results oriented with a strong analytical skill set and attention to detail

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.

0-3 years of experience in financial analysis and modeling.

Experience in interpreting and reviewing financial statements.

Experience in preparing normalized financial statements.

Eagerness to learn and expand your accounting and financial knowledge.

An understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills is required

Previous Experience in similar role would be beneficial

Written and oral communication skills

Ensure the accuracy of an organization’s financial documents for payment and proper approval process

Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records

Provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization
