Junior Environmental Engineer Jobs in Nova Scotia

Review internal and external environmental assessments for content, coordination requirements, and impacts to Metrolinx programs/projects, and monitor environmental sustainability developments.

Ensure environmental assessment commitments and conditions are achieved, and reporting requirements documented for submission, to achieve project compliance.

Develop, conduct and recommend mitigation standards and procedures requirements for new technology in Environmental Assessments and in capital works projects.

Knowledge of project, standards, specifications, and applicable environmental legislation.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently, strong interpersonal and negotiating skills and analytical ability are a must.

Must successfully complete environmental, safety and any other training and certification required by corporate policy.

• Highly developed project management skills and able to handle multiple priorities and

or an experienced and motivated individual.

• Working knowledge of municipal environmental trends and issues, engineering models,

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills; excellent oral and written

communication skills, in particular solid report writing, presentation and negotiation skills.

• Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in the City's Core Competencies.
