The Marketing Manager’s mandate includes:

Liaise with senior management, external service providers and company auditors.

Assist and support senior management with various special projects and requests.

Assist with and perform other daily investment management and operations tasks and requests.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS

Undergraduate Degree in finance, accounting or related field.

3–5 years fund accounting experience with investment funds.

Team player with good attitude and approachable personality and good staff management skills

Strong time management skills in meeting client deadlines

Strong working knowledge of Investran Private Equity Accounting system (key requirement)

Competent accounting knowledge in IFRS and US GAAP

Possess at least 3 years of private equity accounting experience and ideally 2 years’ experience in the FIS Investran experience

Assessing/planning the volume/level of work against timelines and disseminating daily workflows to other team members

Post-secondary education in Business Management, Fundraising or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent people management and leadership skills; ability to coach, develop and mentor staff.

Strong project management skills, and the ability to act, implement and make sound decisions.

Liaise with, provide subject matter expertise to, and work collaboratively with Autism Canada’s management team.

Design, implement, and manage an annual Fund Development Strategy which increases revenue to support the strategic direction of the organization.

Develop, implement, and manage Autism Canada’s Donor Recognition program.

Accountable for tracking and managing; Client profit margins, staff utilization and overtime, client relationship risk reviews, incident management and risk reduction

Liaise with investment managers, brokers and auditors for day-to-day operational issues

A working knowledge of Japanese investors or retail funds an advantage

Managing a team of fund accountants responsible for client deliverables such as NAV production, financial statements and associated reports

Review the work of direct reports to ensure completeness/accuracy of client deliverables

Ensure that the team is appropriately trained, engaged and as efficient and effective as possible in achieving organizational targets and goals.

Strong prioritization, planning, project management, communications, leadership, presentation, relationship building, negotiation and analytical skills.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, business, related field, or equivalent experience.

Knowledge of the business, investment products and services offered as well as the external environment affecting them.

Additional preferred qualification: Technical investment marketing knowledge.

Manage multiple projects and stakeholders at once.

Minimum of five years proven and progressive experience or equivalent in the investment industry.

Grows the sophistication of the team’s media knowledge, expanding into data and technology.

Drives Media Brand and client adoption of DAN capabilities, e.g. The Story Lab, Dentsu Data Labs, Cardinal Path, ICUC, etc.

4+ years of media planning and/or buying experience focused on Broadcast Channels and a minimum of 1-year experience leading a team.

Ability to instils confidence and manage expectations with internal and external stakeholders.

Advanced analytical skills and proficient with numbers and budgets to illustrate client business objectives.

Strong negotiation, presentation and people skills.

Applicants with experience in private equity, funds management or financial services will be given preference.

Prepare schedules for management reports and ensure consistency between the management reports and financial information

Strong report query skills within an integrated GL and excellent Excel knowledge

Primary resource to corporate and tax teams to meet reporting requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential

Excellent interpersonal skills are required

Excellent time-management skills, organized and task-oriented, with an ability to respond in a timely fashion to donor inquiries and team communications.

Working knowledge of content management software, including Asana, WordPress, Adobe CC, and minor video editing is strongly desired.

Any other tasks as required by management.

Working with event staff to secure sponsorship and manage sponsor relations.

Managing a database that includes data entry, record maintenance and documentation.

Post-secondary degree or certificate in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or previous experience in a communications or social media role.

Support change management planning and efforts as required.

Good knowledge of and/or experience with fund accounting, securities instruments, settlements, foreign exchange transactions, reconciliations and investment accounting.

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
