Intermediate Power Electronics Engineer Jobs

Conduct power system simulations experience with CYMDIST on power flows, voltage stability, transient stability, fault contribution and protection coordination;

Offer customer support and problem resolution with respect to the associated project, product, process, and quality system.

Experience with distribution planning, distributed energy resource (DER) interconnection impact, arc flash, micro grid analysis, and protection coordination;

Experience with ETAP, PSS/E, EMTP, ASPEN OneLiner, Siemen’s CAPE, or PSCAD (asset);

Must possess strong written, interpersonal and presentation communication skills;

Analyzing the impact of renewable generation or customer’s generations on utility distribution system by Connection Impact Assessments (CIA);

• High degree of self-motivation and self-management.

• 5 years’ experience in PCB design and bring-up.

• Excellent written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills.

• Good interpersonal skills, including maturity, teamwork, respect, courtesy, tact and discretion.

• Hands-on skills such as cable making.

• Design PCBs and test jigs for CtP devices and thermal laser heads.

Assist in the creation and management of ILS requirements, including technical manuals and other supporting documentation

Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience

Advanced knowledge of project management tools and software, including Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent technical writing, planning, and project management skills

Excellent time management skills and is able to set and achieve goals and objectives

Project management of a wide variety of electrical design activities of varying scope and scale

Project Management Experience in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Certification in Project Management (PMP) is a plus.

4+ years of product design experience in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Experience designing and debugging analog and digital electronic circuits.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving, organization, and analytical skills.

Well organized, good time management and ability to work on several concurrent projects

Education: Electrical Engineering degree (Master’s or PhD considered an asset)

Experience: minimum 5 years’ experience in power electronics

Development of high power (1kW+) switching power systems and experience with 600VAC systems required

Desire to learn, drive to expand knowledge

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
