Intermediate Graphic Designer Jobs in Alberta

Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, team work, initiative/self management and accountability, and flexibility/adaptability.

Performs other related functions as assigned, in accordance with the job responsibilities or other necessary department objectives.

Strong working knowledge of traditional and new marketing concepts, communications technologies and broad knowledge of graphic design technology.

Provides consultation and graphic design expertise to support continuity and consistency of Departmental programs and services messaging.

Arranges for production of communications materials including obtaining quotes, preparing camera-ready artwork and negotiating deadline dates with internal and external printers.

Represents the Community and Health Services Department, participates on committees, task forces and work groups as assigned.

Prepare storm water management quantity and quality calculations.

Prepare Functional Servicing and Storm water Management Reports in support of Zoning By-law Amendment and Site Plan Application.

Knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of the detailed design of municipal infrastructure for either public or private sector clients.

Knowledgeable of tender preparation with limited construction administration experience.

Knowledgeable of technical design issues, constructability, cost, and design approvals.

Adept in Adobe’s Creative Suite with expertise and experience in videography & motion graphics

Able to plan & manage their own time efficiently

Comfortable working within, sometimes strict, brand guidelines but able to flex their creativity both within and out of said guidelines

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-focused

Happy to try new things and eager to receive feedback

A team player but also self-motivated

Skills - Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, CorelDraw

Create regular visual content for blogs, app banners, social media, videos scripts, email newsletters

Create and edit GIF's, short, animated videos, screen record

Engagements - like / share on social platforms

Session time / time spent on learning section

Self-starters, who can take ownership and are comfortable navigating ambiguity, will be an ideal fit
