Prepare and serve healthy meals.

Cleaning and maintaining facilities and common areas.

Assists clients and families in establishing and maintaining self-sufficiency and independence by following an established care plan.

Follows care plan related to meal preparation instructions including setting up, preparing and serving meals; monitors and records client's food intake.

Completes and maintains related records and documentation, as per established policies, procedures and guidelines.

Participates and attends various in-services and staff development meetings, as required.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Must demonstrate time management abilities and have proven counselling, problem solving and decision-making skills

Certification as a Child and Youth Care worker OR being enrolled in a related education program is required

Appreciation and knowledge of cultural diversity/experience working with an immigrant population

Submit reports regularly based on the program requirements

Attend and participate in trainings based on the program requirements

Other duties as assigned by the Family Services Manager including requests for additional paid hours on a temporary basis when needed
