Actively supports community engagement while promoting equitable, diverse, and inclusive innovation, and contributes to Innovate Calgary’s reconciliation efforts

Actively provides support to coordinate, activate, and execute events for the Black, Indigenous, People of Colour and Rural Innovators pitch series

Identifies and contacts diverse experts, advisors, mentors and speakers for events and programs

Networks with local innovators to invite and promote Innovate Calgary’s mandate, values, programs, and other supports at events.

Essential degree level education and desirable project management qualification.

Excellent project management skills; be able to effectively plan own and others' time.

Apply and adhere to the Safety Management Systems, best practices and the SSE capital delivery process for all projects.

Desirable engineering knowledge to degree level or equivalent experience.

Identify and gain approval for funding from the most suitable source, ensuring that projects are ranked appropriately alongside existing innovation pipeline.

Lead the project teams in alignment with the SSE Safety Culture and core leadership values.

Champion and develop an enterprise-wide data strategy including an effective data management governance practice to help make our data an asset

Accountable for leading the design, implementation, and operation of a unified enterprise-wide data platform and information management strategy

Minimum 10 years experience in digital and technology-focused roles preferably in software development and deployment

Experience in DevOps and Continuous Integration/Delivery methodologies and tools

Entrepreneurial / Start-up spirit with creative & strategic thinking skills

Technical fluency and strong working knowledge of hybrid cloud-based data platform development, data integration, data architecture, governance, and modern application development.

Change Agent: experience and understanding in effective change management practices

Build and manage Teck’s external innovation ecosystem including partnerships, consortia, and investments

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures

Demonstrated initiative and ability to deliver results in ambiguous or constantly evolving environments

Proficiency in Spanish is a significant asset for this role

Advocacy: proven ability and orientation to act as an innovation advocate in both formal and informal settings across an organization

Quality Management – Oversight of quality program, including ISO certification, and providing leadership to account teams

Performance management reporting to client

Process development and improvement management across account functions

Performance improvement leadership across account functions

Drive and deliver Guaranteed Savings program and performance through leadership across account teams

Communications – Oversight of communications plan and implementation providing leadership as required
