HSE Coordiantor Jobs

Responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of the site Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).

Assist in the administration, documentation, and management of the Company’s COR program.

Keep site management, and safety manager current on the status of any issue(s) that may impact the work being performed.

Relevant Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience in the Health and Safety Field.

Report all incidents/injuries to the Safety Manager.

Experience in Health and Safety within the construction industry.

Ensure the identification of emergency situation and the management procedure for response;

Ensure that working areas are inspected on regular base in compliance with local legislation and HSE Management System;

Participate to the annual management review meetings.

Working knowledge of Certification of Recognition (COR)

Ensure that suppliers and subcontractors engaged on Project are operating in accordance with GBMS supplier requirements;

Report to the Hurontario HSE project Manager

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and abilities:

Superior organizational and time management skills.

Assist in the creation of process forms and standards required in the Safety Management System.

Assist with claims management as needed.

Ability to work with a diverse group of management and safety professionals.

Data entry and maintenance of HSE databases (BIStrainer, Sharepoint, etc.).

Education or experience in related discipline

Previous experience with civil construction.

Safety (NCSO, CRSP) is an asset

Extended Healthcare Plan (Medical, Disability, Dental & Vision)

Ensure completion of regular site inspection reports from field management; note resolution to any deficiencies or actions taken on the report.

Assist in the administration, documentation and management of the Company’s COR program.

Keep management current on the status of any issue(s) that may impact on the work being performed.

At least 3 years of field safety experience, preferably in a construction environment.

Relevant Post-Secondary education in HSE is an asset.

Maintain statistics and records and monitor accident/incident frequencies and safety violations; assist in investigations and complete related documentation.

Strong knowledge and working experience with local HSE regulatory requirements.

Continuously upgrade knowledge and personal skills in line with defined development plans and career maps.

Strong organizational, planning, problem solving and communication skills (oral and written).

·HSE professional engineering (structural, mechanical, electrical)

·HSE program evaluation and design

Thorough knowledge and application of HSE legislation and compliance requirements to Barminco and the client’s safety systems.

Maintaining of records, reports and documents required to meet corporate, site and regulatory requirements.

Provide HSE mentoring to operational personnel through crew presentations, communications and knowledge sharing of learnings from incidents.

4-6 years’ relevant experience, preferably in an underground hard rock mine.

Maintain a valid Driver’s License; manual transmission experience an asset.

Effective and respectful communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization, both verbal and written
