Overview:
Heavy Equipment Operators are responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, and other construction equipment. They are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment and must be knowledgeable of the various types of equipment and their capabilities. They must also be able to read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents. Heavy Equipment Operators must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and be able to lift and move heavy objects.How To Become an Heavy Equipment Operators Needed:
To become an Heavy Equipment Operator, you will need to complete a training program or apprenticeship. Many employers offer on-the-job training, but some may require you to complete a formal program. You may also need to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) to operate certain types of heavy equipment.Heavy Equipment Operators Needed Skills:
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Ability to operate a variety of heavy equipment
