Experience and knowledge of pulp and paper mill processes, wastewater treatment is a definite asset.

Advanced experience, knowledge and understanding of safe work practices.

Excellent computer skills - working knowledge of SAP, PI, PARCView and Excel would be an asset.

Excellent time management skills and attention to detail

Subcontractor management, logging/texturing soils and operating various types of environmental related field equipment

Overall Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities 

Support and assist Project Managers in all aspects of project execution including coordination and procurement of project supplies and subcontractor services

University Degree or Technical Diploma from accredited institution, plus appropriate continuing education

Travel to sites to observe site conditions, collect field data, manage treatment system operations and/or provide construction oversight and field engineering

Minimum of 1 year of related experience in Environmental Engineering

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Field Engineer

Experience with an Environmental Consulting Firm

Compile and interpret historical records, past reports and analytical data to determine strategy for site closure.

Conduct studies for remedial options, treatment system upgrades, stormwater infrastructure, landfill closure techniques, air contaminant sources, etc.

Maintain an up to date knowledge of existing and emerging regulatory requirements, wildlife and vegetation assessment methodologies, and best practices;

Knowledge of or experience with technical modeling (e.g., air quality) an asset.

Knowledge of or experience with environmental assessment processes (e.g., Municipal Class EA) an asset.

Coordinate, manage and build business relationships with clients, regulators, service providers (e.g., laboratories, sub-contractor) and third-party stakeholders.

At least 5 years of relevant experience.

Solid understanding of provincial and federal environmental regulatory requirements.
