Full Time Mechanical Assembly Technician Jobs

Interpret and follow verbal, written and drawn instructions

Assemble parts using a wide variety of fasteners and joining techniques

Maintain work area cleanliness, functionality and safe conditions

Perform all assigned tasks in a limited amount of time, within acceptable quality limits and while following safe work practices

Report out on assembly progress and suggest countermeasures to maintain or recover schedules

Identify and suggest productivity and/or quality improvements to Supervisors and/or Engineers

Work as a team player with time management skills

Installation of crane bodies, hooklifts, and heavy-duty equipment

Installation of weldments and custom equipment to truck chassis

Successfully complete crane, forklift, and overhead crane training courses

Using a forklift and or overhead crane where needed

Move vehicles in and out of service bays to the yard

Good problem-solving skills, time-management skills and the ability to work well on their own and/or part of a team.

Knowledge of networking along with hardware and software experience

Assist support services team with office activities, which includes, but not limited to, data entry, collating mailings, cash collection activities.

Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions

Excellent oral and written communication skills, listening skills and the ability to understand and explain technical language.

Monitor alerts through a variety of platforms such as emails, voicemails, and parking software.

Excellent time management and prioritization skills

Provide guidance to the team based on management direction.

Create/lead improvement teams and track progress using a visual management.

Bachelor/Associate degree or a combination of education, experience and licensing

Ability to access and develop individual and team skills/capabilities

Hands on mechanical assembly experience

Physical requirements include considerable use of your arms and legs, climbing, lifting 60lbs repeatedly, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

Knowledge of aviation refuelling equipment and associated equipment.

Previous experience in the aviation industry in a similar role would be an asset.

Basic mathematics, trouble shooting skills and excellent attention to detail.

2 years’ experience in building operations with Hotel or like required.

Be skilled in several areas such as HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywalling, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping.

Strong problem solving, analytical, creative thinking, attention to detail and decision-making skills

Security clearance required upon offer of employment.

Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis (e.g., "room care").

Assist in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems, and make minor repairs and/or replacement.

3rd year registered apprentice or an equivalent combination of education and experience;

Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel;
