Develop and implement Terramera’s Formulation Solution Platform consistent with approved business cases for given active ingredients and product concepts.

Formulate a range of biopesticide actives and inert ingredients and conduct physico-chemical characterization and stability studies

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Working knowledge and consistent execution of formulation development, excipient compatibility assessment, data analysis and good documentation practices

Maintain compliance with training, best practices, safety, and cleaning requirements and operate under and maintain GMP/GLP conditions.

Minimum 1+ years of experience in a formulation’s role in a lab setting is preferred.

Experience working in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical and/or GMP facility is asset.

Requires experience in troubleshooting and problem solving.

Act as a resource person to team staff, management and internal customers with respect to project status and information flow

Manage the activities of all indirect reports to ensure timely and effective completion of projects and tasks.

Assist Regulatory Affairs Department for filing & submission requirements.

Provide guidance and coaching to the other members of the Technical Services Group.

Effective root cause analysis to determine cause for failure results.

Review, challenge and execute preferred process to improve the process to cost savings or reduce deviations or cycle time.

2 - 6 years of experience in industrial formulation of biopharmaceuticals.

Hands-on experience and deep understanding of drying process development and lyophilized products in different packaging systems.

Working knowledge in Design of Experiments and statistical principles.

Manages time effectively demonstrating ability to perform multiple projects at one time

Detailed knowledge of relevant dosage forms including, unit operation understanding, functionality and critically of formulation materials, plant equipment and analytical testing.

Experienced in the product development process. with an understanding of technology transfer

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements

Minimum three (3) to five (5) years' experience in Research or Product Development, preferably in the Nutraceutical/Pharmaceutical industry or Food industry

Experience must include process expertise in gel preparation and oil/wax/PEG formulations

Work experience/expertise in liquid, tablet, soft gel/tablet coating, or other supplement delivery technologies would be an asset

Computer literate, including effective working skills in Word, Excel, MS Project and MS Outlook

Knowledge in Statistics and ERP systems would be an asset

Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

BSc. or MSc. in a Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences or relevant disciplines with at least 2 years of laboratory experience.
