Excellent verbal and written communication with strong relationship management skills.

Participate as a management member of Joint Health and Safety Committees.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the construction industry in a Health and Safety role.

Experience in the electrical/utilities industry a strong asset.

Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and safety act and Regulations for Construction Project.

Strong knowledge of other Regulations, e.g., WHMIS, Asbestos in Construction, Designated Substances, Smoking in the Workplace.

Developing and implementing the facility's process safety management program

Job type: Full-time | Permanent Duties and Responsibilities:

Developing/implementing Environmental Emergency Plans pursuant to Environment Canada requirements

Ensuring that the requirements of Spill Control and Drainage Systems/Secondary Containment for Aboveground Storage Tanks are being met

Responsible for employee safety training and certification as required; and participates on the facility's safety committee

Health Canada, Metro Vancouver, BC Ministry of the Environmental and Environment Canada regulation knowledge is essential
