Understanding of project management with certification in project management considered an asset.

Knowledge and understanding of asset management principals advancement

Leads, as a project manager planning, installation, demolition, and rehabilitation of municipal infrastructure projects and studies;

Well developed interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.

Knowledge of the occupational hazards and the safety precautions necessary in the area of work assignments.

Experience in public speaking and/or presentations.

A combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered.

Minimum six (6) months related administrative experience required. One (1) year is preferred.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs/technology is required. (Testing may be conducted on candidates).

Keyboarding skills minimum 40 wpm required, 60 wpm is preferred. (Testing may be conducted on Candidates).

Excellent multitasking, organizational and prioritization skills required.

Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Demonstrated practical experience in the delivery and/or management of emergency services communications and related technology.

Demonstrated expertise and experience in complex project management.

Formal post-secondary education in business management, fire service management, communications management and/or a related discipline

Demonstrated abilities in asset management as it pertains to radio system and related communications user gear.

Prepare reports as required and may be required to present to Council and/or the "Management Advisory Panel".

Identify current and future resource requirements.
