Distribution Operations Supervisor Jobs

Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (Blue Yonder an asset), voice pick technology and Engineered Labour Standards an asset

Assigns work to Team Members taking into account available hours, skills sets and other resources to ensure operational targets are met

Minimum 3 years prior supervisory or team leader experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment

Post-secondary education is an asset

Experience and willingness to mentor and coach others

Analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex problems; creative problem-solving

Responsible for all aspects of performance management, staffing, training and development of their assigned workforce

Ability to effectively motivate and provide leadership direction, coaching, mentoring and performance management to all Associates

The Qualifications and Experience with like to see:

Manage overall department process such as debriefing processes, transfers and fleet (5 ton trucks) as required

2 to 3 years of previous experience in a warehouse/delivery environment or in a supervisory role

Previous inventory and cycle count experience is required

Administers performance management in consultation with AOM and Director of Operations .

Supervises hourly warehouse associates on achieving daily performance requirements.

Builds and maintains a strong working relationship with the union through knowledge and understanding of the Collective agreement and communication.

Participates in the setting of objectives and strategies along with daily tactical planning, budgeting and workforce requirements.

2 years leadership experience with a Degree or 3 to 5 years leadership work experience

Numerous time constraints exist in order to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
