Design Engineering Lead Jobs in Quebec

Under the VP Engineering and Product Management’s supervision, you will be responsible for the following:

· Organized and efficient in time-management, capable of multi-tasking.

· Drive Innovation and Product Development that wows the industry and maximizes the customer experience.

· Build relationships and knowledge in the team through external focus both with vendors and customers.

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role.

2+ years leading a design team, in a mentorship or management capacity.

Conduct research, time estimates, and asset requirements for assigned projects

Assist in defining project UX/UI requirements, user-stories and provide rationale

5+ years of professional UX/UI experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Experience in a software development agency is mandatory.

Reviews and Approves designs and final drawings for production with Management team.

Semi Remote position: telework 40%and office work 60% Pointe-Claire office

Understanding of safety certification norms and agencies like ETL, UL or CSA for mechanical and electrical products

Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design or equivalent field experience

Minimum 2 years experience of Supervisory Experience

Manufacturing experience with Die-Casting, Metal Spinning, Extrusions, sheet-metal and plastic

0-5 years of design engineering or design management experience

Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail

Manage deliverables, quality and compliance for the assigned project

Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our design process

Design-build experience is an asset but not required

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering results
