Post-secondary education and / or equivalent on the job experience

3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role is required

Must be able to pass the Alberta Adjuster's License exam immediately, as this is a requirement for this position

Advanced communication skills, including efficient written skills, including those of a technical nature.

Effective verbal skills, including listening, interviewing, and negotiating, must be able to flex style appropriate to the audience.

Strong interpersonal skills allow you to deal with conflict and difficult situations effectively.

Prompt contact and follow-up with policyholders and claimants

Handle moderate to complex Workers' Compensation claims with minimal supervision and ‎guidance from the manager.

3 to 5+ years of experience handling Workers Compensation claims.

Experience with public entity accounts, a plus

Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills.

Flex schedule and ability to work remotely

Negotiate settlements with injured workers and attorneys.

Education, Knowledge And Experience Required

Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities in an effective manner.

Effective communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)

Demonstrated and proven leadership skills

At least 2 year's relevant experience in claims

Ongoing commitment to education and learning.

Experience in auto or property claims (knowledge of property is an asset)

Bilingual capabilities (French and English) is a must.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Educational resources, tuition assistance, and paid time off to study for exams

Accepting notice of claim and working with the customer and preferred Vendors to resolve the claim quickly and efficiently

Confirming policy coverage by ensuring the facts of the claim fall within the scope of the policy

Excellent writing and communication skills are required, ability to review policy and draft detailed Reservation of Rights and Denials.

Must be able to obtain continuing education credits.

Collaborate with claims manager and breach team to identify and document handling strategy within the scope of insurance coverages.
