Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material

Assist welders, carpenters, painters or other tradespeople on-site

Receive, inspect and log any fuel or lube oil deliveries to plant sites. Immediately report any spillage of products to Manager.

At least two years' related mechanical or electrical experience required.

Experience with annual inspections and maintenance of LNG or cryogenic facilities would be an asset.

Participate in the continuous improvement of the Health & Safety program, Environment program as well as NTPC’s safety culture.

Responsible for the day-to-day routine maintenance of the Inuvik LNG facility, also support annually inspection of main & auxiliary LNG equipment

Monitor assist and report progress of outside contractors.

3+ years of general construction or handyman experience

Experience driving a forklift would be well-regarded though not required

Material handling, working on-site in commercial customer locations

Regular use of hand tools and power tools

Demolition and retrofitting of industrial shelving and racking

Able to travel with crews outside of city limits as needed

Working outside (depending on location)

2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Formal Education, Training and Occupational Certification

Understand and apply a variety of skilled maintenance techniques used in various Parks trades.

Keep records and inventories as required; make recommendations on hard and soft landscape improvements.

Provide instructions and information to other staff as required.

Occasionally respond to general enquiries from the public and other departments.

Assist equipment operators, carpenters and other skilled workers as needed.

Must have experience as a general laborer in the construction industry.

Operation and maintenance of construction machinery and equipment.

Prepare the construction site by clearing obstacles and dangers.

Load or unload building materials.

Erection and dismantling of temporary structures, such as scaffolding. Remove, fill or compact the soil.

Experience with operating excavators (Excavator, 31.5-33.5 tons, Diesel Powered).

Hourly rate is dependent on experience

Equipment Ticket to operate Excavators

Must be physically able to lift 50lbs for coordinating lifts and moves of heavy equipment

Reliable and detailed candidate wanted
