Strong experience operating blast hole drill rigs- SANDVIK D75-KS, ATLAS COPCO PIT VIPER 271, DRILTECH D90KS

2 yrs open pit mining experience

Drive and operate rotary or top hammer drilling equipment to bore large blast holes to specified locations and depths

Read instructions or diagrams, lay out drill pattern and determine depth and diameter of blast holes

General drill maintenance checks, involving climbing on and walking around the equipment

Change steel when it breaks

Have experience working in remote and/ or varied weather conditions for extended periods

Have 2+ years experience with sonic drilling

Preferred experience with various other drilling methodologies, ODEX, mud/air rotary, Coring

Be in the process or working towards ITA Geo Driller Certification (preferred).

Possess a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence

Be physically capable of regular and repetitive lifts

Watch and manage instruments like pressure gauges, indicators, and check the hole's returns for volume, color, and consistency.

2+ years of experience in Geotechnical or Environmental Drilling.

Put your mechanical skills to work, effectively diagnosing and repairing small equipment.

Experience with ODex drilling methods preferred

Pay of $35+ per hour plus a $100/day bonus

Must have experience with detailed report writing

Providing excellent customer service to both the client and its guests

Emergency response: Ability to respond to incident/emergency situations and follow required protocol

Access control at project sites

Identify and reporting safety hazards

Visual security presence - detect and deter unauthorized persons

Employ various sampling techniques according to project and client requirements.

Supervise Drill Assistant and the drill crew to ensure compliance with HSE requirements.

Have 2-5 years experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling.

Record keeping as required/requested by the client and or Company.

Ensure Driller Assistant maintains and organizes equipment, supplies and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.

Must maintain and possess a valid Class 5 or 7 Driver's Licence.
