Compliance And Governance Manager Jobs

Support maintenance of an effective Compliance Management System (CMS) meeting all internal and external compliance requirements.

Support maintenance of a Vendor Management Program in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

Support the operation of the Corporate Governance Framework: policies & procedures oversight, and committee management.

Support regular and ad-hoc compliance reporting to local management and central functions.

Manage and update the Compliance pages for the Associate Intranet.

This position may take on additional duties and responsibilities, should the need arises.

Excellent time-management skills, to ensure assignments are appropriately completed on time in the face of varying deadlines.

Researching legal inquiries, compliance & regulatory requirements, and business process improvement initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or a related field), and/or a Law Clerk Certificate/Diploma.

Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in a similar capacity.

General knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance terminology, procedures, and statutes.

Experience in preparing and filing compliance, regulatory, and/or corporate administration filings would be considered an asset.

7+ years of industry experience, with an emphasis in risk management and compliance program

Proven people, program and project management skills leading to successful execution of established goals and objectives.

Contributing to the development / configuration of enabling tools to support IT governance, risk and compliance management functions (e.g. ServiceNow).

Experience implementing ISO 27001 in a large-scale enterprise and/or ISO 27001 lead auditor / lead implementor certification (preferred).

Experience with / working knowledge of risk frameworks, standards and industry best practices (e.g. COBIT, COSO, ISO 27001, SOC 2, ITIL).

Experience developing cloud, infrastructure and cybersecurity policies, standards and in translating regulatory requirements into technical controls.

Monitors and advises on management of risk requirements within the defined risk appetite.

Program management skills - In-depth.

Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.

Manages/supports large/complex risk programs/frameworks /projects/initiatives to ensure risks are appropriately mitigated and regulations adhered to.

Facilitates training to ensure business unit employees fully understand requirements.

Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

6+ years experience in the development, implementation and monitoring of cyber security protocols, policies, and procedures

Experience in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive risk register

Experience in creating and updating technical documentation

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership

Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or equivalent certification, an asset

Hybrid preferred (Ottawa) but remote is possible.

Monitoring of key deliverables and upcoming accountabilities for the CEO, employing a system of proactive issue and project management

Possess strong administrative leadership and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage concurrent projects under tight deadlines

Support the CEO as required, with daily executive administrative tasks including calendar management

Oversee the management of the online Board portal, ensuring all directors are able to access and utilize all the system features

Essential experience in Fraud Management

A minimum of five years of relevant experience in a governance and compliance capacity

Responsible for supervising operational and contractual adherence

Proficient in leading projects within a compliance setting
