Demonstrated skill and expertise in working with a geriatric population and it’s associated psychosocial and residential care issues.

Demonstrated program and resource development planning, research, and evaluation skills.

Prepares and provides briefing notes to the program team to assist them in making informed decisions on nutrition related issues.

Develops or coordinates nutrition resources and information to meet program needs.

Apply knowledge, skill and clinical experience to assess, develop and evaluate nutrition care plans and monitor outcomes.

Coordinate the delivery of clinical nutrition services to a resident population with varying physical and cognitive disabilities.

Provide counseling and education to residents that facilitate optimal nutrition intake and support health maintenance.

Comprehensive knowledge of Long Term Care and gerontological nutrition

Knowledge of swallowing disorders and related nutritional issues related to disability/degenerative diseases.

Demonstrated experience with utilizing various wordprocessing, spreadsheet and nutrition-related computer applications.
