Meeting with potential clients to understand their requirements, current situation, and other information as needed.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in immigration

Strong written and verbal skills

Professional writing such as cover letters, submissions, and storylines of customer scenarios ·

a Regular Full-Time Case Management Assistant

Experience in responding to inquiries from members of the community, and providing support and service to a wide range of personnel.

Experience in handling confidential and sensitive information, communicating effectively with members of the community and managing difficult situations constructively.

Provides orientation and ongoing support to program staff on using CAMS, including the development of tutorials to provide readily accessible assistance.

Ensures that the agency's records are safely stored, and organizes retrieval and control of records as required.

Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements.

Experience providing support to an elected official is desirable.

Experience in a political environment is an asset.

Knowledge of City administrative structure is an asset

Knowledge of City services and policies is an asset

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work in an outreach case management modality.

Travel is a requirement of this position and transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Vancouver Island Health Authority.

Clinical understanding of addictions diagnosis and treatment when such addictions co-occur with other serious psychiatric disorders.

Ability to integrate and apply COTBC Standards for Occupational Therapy Practice in the context of community mental health and addictions practice.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Ability to organize work effectively, establish and carry out priorities to meet critical deadlines.

Ability to work in an outreach case management modality.

Clinical understanding of affective disorders, schizophrenia and other serious psychiatric disorders and their treatment, using a comprehensive biopsychosocial model of care.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Ability to organize work effectively, establish and carry out priorities to meet critical deadlines.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Possession of a valid Driver's License.
