Communications Student Jobs

Collaborating with Student Affairs leadership in the use of the college-wide customer relationship management system;

Extensive knowledge of and experience with communications theory, strategies, practices, and techniques;

Managing, mentoring, evaluating and overseeing employees who report to the Manager, Current Student Communications;

Experience working in a unionized environment and post-secondary setting strongly preferred;

Excellent organizational, analytical and leadership skills;

Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills; and

Once written and approved by the Manager, Communications, ensure wish stories/images are put into Canva templates and filed/tagged appropriately.

Education in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or Marketing (or working towards).

Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Hybrid work environment: 2 days in-office per week, 2 days remote.

Currently enrolled in post-secondary program in Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related discipline.

Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain professionalism in rapidly changing situations.

Spent time engaging and maintaining relationships with business and event stakeholders.

Excellent writing and editing skills

Experience with Office 365 applications, specifically SharePoint Online, is an asset

Standards-driven individual with solid organizational skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to achieve great results with and through other

Assists with daily updates to our internet and extranet, including drafting articles and making changes to the websites

Leads or participates in drafting key client bulletins or other forms of external communication

Demonstrated skill in writing, web editing, and social media management.

Experience with diverse digital platforms (digital content management systems, social media platforms, graphic design).

Manage and maintain a comprehensive annual calendar of Health & Wellness priorities and initiatives, to improve administrative and communications planning efforts.

Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects effectively and in an organized manner, within tight and/or conflicting deadlines.

Experience in a post-secondary environment and/or health and wellness field.

High degree of professional proficiency and independence in communicating to diverse audiences with distinctive needs.

Assisting with special projects as assigned by Marketing and Communications Manager or Executive Assistant that supports the student's abilities and interest.

Minimum Requirements Of This Position Include

A valid class G driver's license and reliable transportation is an asset;

Obtaining pictures, video reels for Instagram, testimonials from programs

Support with 70th Anniversary celebrations

Fundraising/marketing assistance with annual Golf Tournament, Fashion Show
