Business Degree is an asset. Consideration may be given to those with a Business Diploma and/or considerable relevant experience.

1+ years’ of similar experience in a post-secondary environment is an asset.

Establish and recommend budget requirements based on operational activities to ensure effective resource and expense management at all times.

Proven Project management experience preferred

Strong Customer Service and People Management skills; Interface with internal and external stakeholders and problem resolution to meet corporate service standards.

Provide project management expertise to support and recommend solutions and changes in ways to meet key corporate and divisional strategies.

PMP (Project Management Professional) is an asset.

At least 2 years supervisory experience preferred

Experience managing high-profile public relations issues and in reputation management.

Develops and implements a change management program in support of health services planning and health system transformation.

Oversees and manages the development, evolution and evaluation of current communication tools and engagement strategies.

Minimum of five years’ experience working in the communications and public relations sector.

Strategic and system-focused thinking; strong analysis, judgementand decision-making skills.

Recognition of, and experience using, principles of physician engagement and working collaboratively with physicians to achieve communications objectives.

Knowledge and experience using SharePoint and Drupal 9,10

Five years of related stakeholder management and business/change readiness experience

3-5 years of experience in project management, strategic planning or policy design with a preference for experience in Advancement or fundraising.

Sees the big picture and conducts whole-organization needs assessments, identifying skills or knowledge gaps that need addressing

Leads projects that improve service delivery, identify optimal role assignments and create Standard Operating Procedures that result in excellent donor experiences.

Manages the University of Alberta fundraising training program (combination of outsourced and in-house sessions)

Experience working in a fundraising environment, supporting complex and varied areas of development

Facilitates and implements operational planning for Development.

Comprehensive knowledge of project management concepts, tools and methodologies.

Knowledge of best practices for change management and change leadership.

Knowledge of budget management, funding and project administration.

Functional knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project management and database applications.

Engages in recruitment, selection, hiring, performance evaluation and performance management of staff as required up to and including termination.

Manages and monitors project budget and liaises with the Director (or designate) on variances and/or other issues.

Demonstrated time-management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

Ability to demonstrate initiative consistently with commitment to quality improvement, sharing process improvement initiatives with management

Familiarity with mapping data sources and understanding benefits of a GIS mapping system

Extensive experience of presenting and addressing Council, public, stakeholders in various types of situations and engagement platforms

Computer applications experience with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Power Point), CityView, Bluebeam, and ArcGIS

Demonstrated customer service skills at a level to develop and maintain cooperative/ collaborative working relationships both within and outside the organization

Reporting to and working closely with the Executive Director, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities

-- Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar position;

-- Excellent knowledge of the Windows environment - Excel and Word;

Minimum of four to six years of experience developing and implementing public engagement and consultation strategies in support of complex projects

Superior written and verbal communication skills; command of the French language would be an asset

Demonstrable experience and competency in best practice communication and engagement planning

Experience providing advice and options to management would be an asset.

Experience working and analyzing complex land management issues would be an asset.

Degree in natural resource management, planning, public administration, law, or a related field

Experience researching and analyzing complex issues.

Experience advising, negotiating and consulting with governments, organizations or industry.

Have excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Two years’ related labour experience
